On Friday, April 17th 2009, Lava lost a special member of their team. Gregory "Kolton" Findley was an assistant at Lava whose kind heart, and fun spirit will live on forever in the hearts and minds of all whose lives he touched.
On Saturday, March 7th, 2009, Lava Hair Studio participated in the Dawson County High School Fashion Show by doing the hair and makeup for a dozen high school students who were models in the fashion show showing off their new prom fashions. Lava also did the hair and makeup for the students who participated in the Prom Fashion Show of 2008.
