Spring is Here

Spring is here: Lighten Up

The chirping of birds and the blooming of flowers inspire change. You take a look in the mirror and want to brighten what you see to match the brightness around you. This is a great time to freshen your look and in turn lift your spirits. Having your hair highlighted is a great way to brighten your look without making a drastic change, which can be scary. It is less maintenance than all over color because the root growth line is not as defined and the colors are well blended. An alternative to highlights or a great addition to them are lowlights. Lowlights add dimension to your hair’s color making lighter strands appear lighter due to the contrasting effect. Another way to brighten your look for Spring without going lighter is to have a clear gloss treatment or a single process color service. Either way will make the hair incredibly shiny. Aveda color products are ideal for these processes because they range from 96% to 100% all natural and organic making them better for the environment and better for the health of your hair. Also, Aveda’s color is fine tunable, giving the stylist more control over the exact color outcome. After having any color treatment, an Aveda deep conditioning treatment is highly recommended to infuse the hair with moisture and shine. To continue care at home, the Color Conserve line of products are ideal for extending the life of your color.
