 Friday, February 6th, 2009 Karen Covington, the owner of Lava Hair Studio was awarded the prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year award by the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce. Surprised by the nomination, Karen gave an impromptu speach about her "pay it forward" philosophy, her gratitude to the community and to her staff, and her new understanding of the meaning of the word community.
